Buy Land Together
Own a piece of Jamaica — with your name on the title.
Every Jamaican should be able to own a piece of home, even if it's just a lot to build on. We don't take your money — you fund your own land. We just buy together so it's bigger, cheaper, and done properly.
The Reality
Buying land alone is hard, slow, and expensive
Buying land in Jamaica from the diaspora is opaque. The good plots are big and priced out of reach for one buyer. Legal costs and surveys add up. From abroad it's hard to know who to trust, and easy to get the paperwork wrong. So people send money home for years and never end up owning a single piece of the island they love.
Doing it together fixes all of that — without anyone giving up ownership. You still buy your own land with your own money. We simply group buyers, purchase a larger plot at a better price, split it so everyone walks away with their own individual title, and handle the legal work as one.
How It Works
A cooperative of cooperatives
One umbrella, many small buying groups. Each group — by parish, budget and purpose — runs like its own little cooperative. Most importantly: we collect the needs first and only buy once we know exactly what people want. Nothing is purchased before then.
Tell us what you need
You register your interest — parish, budget, and what the land is for (a lot to build a home, farming, or otherwise). No money, no commitment. This is data collection, so we understand the real demand before anything happens.
We group buyers together
Once enough people want land in the same area and price range, we form a buying group — a small cooperative for that pool. Everyone in it is buying for themselves, with their own money.
Buy a larger plot, at a better price
The group buys one bigger plot together. Buying at scale means a lower price per lot than any one person could get alone — and far less hassle and legal cost spread across the group.
Subdivide — everyone gets their own title
The plot is surveyed and subdivided. Each member receives their own individual title to their own lot. You own your piece outright — to build on, keep, or pass to your children.
We handle the legal work
Surveys, due diligence, transfers and titling are handled by the cooperative — properly and legally — so you're not navigating it alone from abroad.
One thing to be clear about
Buying land is separate from the Solar pledge. The land co-op never takes your money — you fund your own land yourself. The Solar business is the one thing the collective pools money into. Two different things, both run by and for the people. Read about the Solar business →
